SPEAKER: Tony Robinson – “Renewable, Clean and Smart Energy”

Tony Robinson has been involved with energy efficiency and sustainability in the built environment for more than twenty-five years, with broad experience in passive solar design, daylighting, product design & development, building energy analysis, manufacturers’ representation and construction management.

His writings on energy & buildings have appeared in a variety of publications, including the Clean Technology & Sustainable Industries Organization, the IEEE – International Symposium on Sustainable Systems & Technology, The National Career Development Association, The Dallas Institute of Humanities & Culture and the American Solar Energy Society.  Tony’s book, High Performance Buildings: A Guide For Owners & Managers, is forthcoming from the Fairmont Press in 2012.

He is Adjunct Professor in Environmental Sustainability at Southern Methodist University, where he teaches a seminar and a foundations course in Sustainability.  A member of the Clean Technology & Sustainable Industries Organization and the Association of Energy Engineers, Tony sits on the Board of Advisors for the Energy & Resource Technology HUB – North Texas, and he is president of Axis Building Consultants, Inc.  Tony has a BA in Philosophy & English from UC Berkeley, and a MS in Design, Engineering Technology & Business Administration from the University of North Texas.
